Each week, Dance Exploration will pick a new dance or cheer term to study as part of the class theme. Dance and cheer have it’s own language and it’s important that students understand the language to perform the moves well. Children will not be taught these skills until mastery of basic strength exercises have been accomplished to prevent serious injury.ĭance Exploration believes in the importance of teaching dance terminology in each class. All assisted lifts and stunts will be taught and only performed under the supervision of the Dance Exploration, LLC Dance Educator. Age and skill appropriate combinations will also be taught in this class. Class begins with stretches and warm ups including the basic arm positions of cheerleading and easy cheers and chants as heard on the sidelines.Ĭenter work and across the floor activities are performed individually and in groups. The Cheerleading class explore the fundamentals of cheerleading, combined with dancing with pom poms to create fun visual shapes for the audience.
